On May 9, the Xinjiang Zhongtai Resource Comprehensive Utilization Methanol Upgrading Demonstration Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhongtai Methanol Project"), which was contracted by China National Chemical Corporation Chengda, successfully completed the entire process and successfully produced qualified methanol products. Since the project entered the feeding and commissioning stage, after a series of system tests and commissioning, it took only 12 hours to complete the methanol unit gas connection and production of refined methanol. After testing, all indicators of the product have reached the standard of superior products, and all emission indicators of the device are better than the environmental emission standards, which fully demonstrated the comprehensive strength of Chengda Company in technology and management. The Zhongtai methanol project with an annual output of 1 million tons adopts the comprehensive utilization of "coal powder + coke powder + waste gas" to produce methanol. The construction content covers coal-to-gas, shift and low-temperature methanol washing devices, sulfur recovery and sulfuric acid production devices, methanol synthesis and distillation devices, as well as supporting public works, auxiliary facilities, front-of-plant infrastructure projects and off-site projects. The project is fully contracted by Chengda Company. This project is an important chain-filling project for the BDO industrial chain of Zhongtai Group to extend upstream, which effectively improves the comprehensive utilization level of coal classification and quality, extends the industrial chain and enhances the value chain. The process technology and key equipment of the project are fully localized. Among them, the core process unit methanol synthesis adopts the million-ton methanol synthesis process technology with independent intellectual property rights of Chengda Company. This process technology simplifies the production process, significantly reduces the operating energy consumption, and stabilizes the product quality, which greatly improves the market competitiveness of the product. The completion and commissioning of the project will effectively improve the industrial chain of Zhongtai Group, set a benchmark for the comprehensive utilization of industry resources, and provide important practical experience for the green transformation of the coal chemical industry in Xinjiang and even the whole country.

On the eve of the "World Occupational Safety and Health Day on April 28", the Qatar National Energy Company's 350,000-ton PVC project (hereinafter referred to as the "Qatar PVC Project"), which was EPC-contracted by China National Chemical Chengda Co., Ltd., successfully held a celebration of 5 million safe man-hours. The achievement of this milestone is the result of the hard work and struggle of all project staff, and it is also a reflection of the company's excellence in safety management level and large-scale international project implementation capabilities. The Qatar PVC project is a key project of Chengda Company to actively respond to the country's "Belt and Road" initiative and deepen international capacity cooperation. It is also the company's first strategic project in the Qatar market. The project aims to build an internationally advanced polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production line to meet the demand for high-quality PVC products in Qatar and surrounding areas and promote the high-quality development of the local chemical industry. The project has faced many challenges since its launch: the local extreme climate of over 50°C in summer, the international standard system that is different from the domestic one, and the management and collaboration difficulties under the multicultural background, all pose a severe test to the project safety management. In the face of these difficulties, the project management team has always adhered to the people-oriented principle and implemented the concept of "safety first" throughout the entire project construction process.
